Tracking Student Attendance

All faculty are required to keep daily student attendance on the SIS/Student Information System (Empower) and are responsible for enforcing the Donnelly College attendance policy. Failure to record attendance will be considered cause for termination of employment. Students who report to class but are not on the class roster should be immediately sent to the Registrar s Office on the first floor. Students should not be allowed to participate in class until their name is on the roster. Students with recorded missing attendance for the first week will be dropped.

These attendance situations should be recorded as follows:

  • Special Donnelly Event - Create and check the student class sign-in list
  • Student signature = present, no signature = absent
