Training Requirements for Faculty
- Adjuncts teaching at the Lansing Campus will be required to attend a KDOC volunteer training course. Registration forms for this course can be provided by the site coordinator; specific dates and times are determined by the KDOC and notification for registration will be sent via U.S. mail. The letter will include instructions for contacting Lansing regarding questions about the training, including the possibility of alternative times. This course MUST be completed prior to the start of class. Teachers will not be allowed on site before completing this training.
- In addition, Donnelly College requires all instructors to attend Virtus Training. Training must be completed within 60 days of your hire date to meet the conditions of employment. Refer to the VIRTUS section in the Employee Manual - LINK Safe Environment for Minors and Vulnerable adults.
- Donnelly also hosts an adjunct orientation for all faculty teaching at the Lansing Campus.
- Donnelly instructors will be required to use the learning platform for the technology provided to the Donnelly students at LCF. This may be different than the learning platform used on campus. Instructors will use this platform to post class materials and post grades. Furthermore, instructors must know how to communicate with the students through the messaging system in the learning platform.
