Required Meeting Attendance
Required Faculty Meetings
To accomplish the process of communication and governance, faculty attendance is expected at regular meetings as outlined below.
Meetings generally occur on Monday-Friday afternoons. Full-time faculty members are expected to attend all regular professional meetings and workshops scheduled unless other arrangements have been made with the Academic Dean.
The Meeting schedule is normally as follows:
- Community Workshop Meeting - At the beginning of the fall & spring semesters
- Community Meetings - Multiple times during the fall and spring semesters
- Academic Council - Four times annually.
- Faculty Senate - 3rd Monday of the month or as scheduled. All full-time faculty (and adjunct faculty who elect to participate). See the Faculty Senate Constitution LINK Faculty By-laws
- Department meetings (ex. Liberal Arts and Sciences) determined by the Department Director.
- Department Directors will also attend the Academic Student Affairs Leadership Team meeting on the last Wednesday of the month.
Full-time Instructors
* Required participation in Community Workshop meetings and all monthly Donnelly Community Meetings during fall and spring semesters.
* Membership is required in a committee within the Faculty Senate
* Required attendance of Academic Council and Department meetings.
* Required attendance at Convocation in the Fall and the Baccalaureate Mass and Graduation and Pinning Ceremonies in the Spring.
Adjunct, Part-time Instructors
* Required to attend Community Workshop meetings at the beginning of the fall and spring semesters.
* Also encouraged, but not obligated, to attend additional professional meetings.
* Obligated to comply with decisions agreed upon at these meetings.
