Instructor Absence

The employee's Program Director should be informed in writing that they will be missing class ahead of time or as soon as possible. If an instructor is unable to teach their scheduled classes they are responsible for finding a substitute instructor or for making an alternative assignment.

In the event of the absence of the Program Director, the Dean should be notified. The instructor will file an appropriate written form with the Program Director for each absence. An instructor with an unreported or unexcused absence from class may be subject to termination of employment.
