Transfer from Another Certified College

  1. Transfer students will be evaluated on an individual basis and must meet all of the admission requirements for a standard applicant (Required: Pre-requisites, Immunizations, etc.).
  2. Transfer students must transfer to Donnelly within one year of leaving the previous nursing program to continue without starting over.
  3. The transfer student must transfer from HLC accredited institutions that follow the nursing core curriculum.
  4. Students transferring courses to an LPN program from an advanced nursing school (RN/BSN) will receive transfer credit for anything that is aligned with the LPN curriculum but will have to take the LPN track classes in order to be successful on the LPN NCLEX.
  5. To receive credit for didactic/lecture classes, transfer students must have a grade of at least a C+ for transfer credits to be accepted.
  6. To receive credit for clinical courses, the student must have a grade of at least a C+ for transfer credits to be accepted.
  7. Following competency testing, transfer credit audits will be done to determine placement and to determine required courses to graduate.
  8. Students admitted with advanced standing may progress through curriculum, based upon need and space available.
