PB 210 Introduction to Epidemiology
Epidemiology is the study and analysis of patterns, trends, and determinants of health-related states and events. This course is designed to gain a basic understanding of Epidemiology principles and methods and how to use these as a framework in evaluating and addressing issues related to population health. This course will explore the epidemiological investigation process, the etiology of disease, disability, and death, how to identify population subgroups at increased risk for disease, disability, and death, and how to contribute to the development and evaluation of public health programs and services to improve the health of subgroups at risk and the population as a whole.
