Clinical Instructor - Required Documentation
Clinical Instructor Required Documentation:
Clinical Instructors will have an additional orientation with the: Donnelly Clinical Coordinator. The Clinical Coordinator and the Director of Nursing work to match Clinical Instructors with their area of expertise and correct qualifications.
- The nursing instructor teaching direct clinical experiences in another state must be authorized to practice as a Registered Nurse in that state.
- Nursing Instructors and students will input required information into ClinicalStudent which is a secure web platform used by hospitals, nursing facilities and nursing schools to manage onboarding instructors and students who will do clinical practice at a medical facility. It handles scheduling, background checks, immunizations, and confidentiality agreements
- ClinicalStudent system requirements vary for instructors providing direct clinical instruction. A Clinical Orientation Manual is provided from the participating Clinical Partner.
- If a clinical instructor is an employee of the clinical partner location in which they are providing clinical instruction, the clinical partner may not require Donnelly to obtain or store ClinicalStudent requirements from the Donnelly instructor due to the information they already have on file.
Other Requirements:
- Updated CNE/KANE Competency Exam
- Signed Confidentiality Agreement with the clinical location
- Copy of federal OSHA guidelines with your signature
