General Requirements

  1. Completion of an ADN (RN) leading to an Associate of Applied Science degree.
  2. Completion of required coursework with cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
  3. Completion of at least 30 credit hours of concentration courses with a grade of C or better.
  4. Completion of at least 120 college-level credit hours.
  5. Completion of the last 30 credit hours at Donnelly College.
  6. An unencumbered RN license in Kansas or a Compact State RN License.

Program Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing, graduates will demonstrate:

  1. Demonstrate principles of leadership, management, and continuous quality initiatives related to patient safety, equity, and health care systems.
  2. Apply research findings from nursing and healthcare to clinical practice theories and models.
  3. Address healthcare inequities and social injustice through professional communication and collaboration.
  4. Analyze the impact of disparities, social determinants of health, and climate change on population outcomes.
  5. Develop communication and interpersonal skills to resolve conflict.
  6. Utilize innovative patient care technical social platforms and information management systems to maximize healthcare outcomes.
