EN 225 Intercultural Communication

In our increasingly diverse world, intercultural literacy is a necessity. This course will explore cultural awareness in students’ everyday lives and the ways in which culture relates with the communication process among people and groups. This course is designed for students to obtain a better understanding of cultures and their similarities and differences when communicating. The goal of this course is to heighten sensitivity to and understanding of one’s own cultural grounding, as well as that of people from different cultural backgrounds, and to apply intercultural communication strategies that result in fruitful outcomes.
