NU 101 KSPN Foundations of Nursing Clinical
This course provides an introduction to the skills required for practical nursing. The theoretical foundation for basic data collection and nursing skills presented and the student is given an opportunity to demonstrate these skills in a clinical laboratory setting. Students are also given an opportunity to practical application of the nursing process to client- related situations. course. Emphasis is placed on the nursing process, cultural and spiritual awareness, communication, data collection, performance of basic nursing skills, and documentation. Principles of safe medication administration are introduced. Grade of C required.
